Our viticulture philosphy is to sustain the vines, avoid stress and optimize fruit quality - we just help them along with minimal intervention.

The vineyards design: Gently undulating areas together with some steep slopes, particularly on the western aspects, characterize both vineyards. Indeed, both vineyards have gradients in places that are in excess of 1:6-billy goat country. Generally, rows run up and down slopes rather than across them. Experience has shown that rows running across steep slopes require terracing and this has implications for various vineyard management issues. However, rows running up and down increase the likelihood of erosion and for this reason mid rows are sown with perennial grasses such as rye and fescue.
